And • Wanstead driving test centre has the lowest pass rate of any centre in the country, says the Wanstead Guardian. It’s not quite true – figures from the DSA show Thornbury centre to be marginally worse – but it’s still very very low. The paper says low incomes are to blame, but that doesn’t seem to ring true somehow. Other explanations welcome.

20-ish odd years ago I was advised to go to Loughton for my driving test… even though there were more hills there than I was used to. Even then Wanstead Test Centre was known to be particularly hard on those who took driving tests with them
Lets put the word around locally that Wanstead is particularly difficult and maybe we will get fewer learner drivers clogging up the roads – I know we all have to learn….. but it really is ridiculous at times
So who runs the new establishment on the High Street? Whoever it is, they were quick in setting up again!
